A Battle is Brewing Over Banned Books—And Lawyers Are Picking Sides
"Publicly, defendants claim to be on a hunt to eradicate 'pornographic' materials. This is a pretext; none of the books defendants have targeted is pornographic," the complaint states.

During a March 14 board hearing of San Antonio's North East Independent School District, an alumna spoke to the trustees, criticizing the recent removal of books from the district's libraries.
That alumna, Amy Senia, filed a lawsuit Monday against another government agency, Llano County, for its commissioners' censorship of books in the county's public library system.
Senia hopes the lawsuit will mobilize other law firms to push back against state and national campaigns by what she considers a dogmatic minority.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.
