With two mid-career women partners tapped this month as partners in charge of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld offices in Houston and Los Angeles, 70% of the firm's offices, including its two largest in Washington, D.C., and New York, are led by women or lawyers of color.
Tax partner Alison Chen is the new office head in Houston, succeeding John Goodgame, while entertainment partner Alissa Miller has moved into that role in Los Angeles, succeeding Greg Knopp.
