The Texas Supreme Court has agreed to hear the contract dispute between the owner of the Houston Astros and the entities involved in the sale of the club and its broadcasting rights.

Litigation between the parties has been in the courts since 2013 and has been fought by a number of the state’s largest firms. It was stuck in federal bankruptcy court for five years before getting remanded to state district court where an order in favor of the buyer was entered January 2020.
