A Fort Worth appellate court tentatively reversed an $11 million judgment and attorney fees in an indemnity case in which an oil company argued its subcontractors could not shift their liability in a fatal oil-field accident.

The indemnity litigation arises from a series of underlying wrongful-death and personal-injury lawsuits that were the result of the explosion of a sand separator at an oil well in Loving County, which borders the state of New Mexico, north of Pecos.
