Denise Scofield, head of the litigation practice in the Houston office of Winston & Strawn, is a Best Mentors honoree as part of the 2022 Texas Lawyer Awards.
Denise is an amazing mother, lawyer and mentor for any young lawyer she encounters. Denise invests in younger lawyers as if it was her full time job. She always finds the time to advise young lawyers in their careers and is proactive in helping them advance. She motivates anyone around her and brings out the best of her colleagues. It is thanks to her that many young lawyers have made their way to becoming highly recognized in their practice. She takes a large number of people under her wing and helps them soar, expecting nothing in return.
