Firms in Texas continued to hire aggressively during 2022, prompted in part by out-of-state firms launching new offices in Texas, while several firms in the bustling market grew through acquisition, merger or group lateral hires.
At the same time, top leadership and office management changed at many firms in Texas, as the trend of placing younger lawyers in leadership roles took hold in the Lone Star State during the year.
