A Houston personal injury attorney was found guilty on multiple counts related to a complex tax fraud scheme, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas.

U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani announced the conviction of Richard J. Plezia by a federal court jury for conspiracy and two counts of making false statements and falsification of a record. The verdict came after a monthlong trial and eight hours of deliberation.
