Travis Scott, Drake, Live Nation Entertainment and other defendants were sued on April 13 in Texas District Court for Harris County in relation to the 2021 Astroworld Festival tragedy where ten patrons were trampled to death. The lawsuit, filed by McCarthy & Associates, accuses the defendants of consciously disregarding the extreme risks of harm to patrons that had been escalating for hours. The lawsuit also contends that the defendants failed to provide a safe space for concertgoers; adequate security and medical personnel; and remediate known safety hazards. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 202323486, Flowers v. Scoremore LLC.
