Women's White Collar Defense Association Launches Austin Chapter
The Women's White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA) announced the launch of a chapter in Austin this month. Austin now joins Dallas and Houston as one of three chapters in Texas.
The new chapter is led by Jennifer Freel of Jackson Walker and will sponsor quarterly events for members, including discussion forums and social events. They are committed to mentoring younger women attorneys and consultants in the white collar defense and compliance field as well as enhancing business development opportunities for senior practitioners.
"WWCDA is extremely proud of its continuous global growth," WWCDA Global Chair and Co-Founder Karen A. Popp said. "Chapter launches showcase our organization's commitment of promoting diversity across white collar law and uplifting women in law around the world, whether you are a seasoned attorney or consultant, or just entering the practice. WWCDA supports and provides opportunities for all women to succeed and grow their business."

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
