Open Seat in Nacogdoches Draws 2 Candidates for GOP Race

In Nacogdoches County, 420th District Judge Edwin Klein opted in 2023 to retire from the bench to become a senior district judge, creating an open seat that has attracted two candidates.

The Republican Party primary will address that upcoming vacancy and the race is between two veteran jurists: Malcolm Bales and Noel D. Cooper.
