- As Willkie Farr & Gallagher opens its second office in Texas, in Dallas, only a handful of Am Law 25 firms haven't moved into the Texas market.
- Paul Weiss has been testing the waters in Houston by contacting Big Law partners, but has not announced a new office.
- But the Houston lateral partner market is not 'overshopped,' some recruiters say.
As law firms continue to see profits from energy and infrastructure work in Texas, some Am Law 100 firms are so invested in the state that they have launched multiple offices there. Most recently, Willkie Farr & Gallager and Paul Hastings both launched Dallas offices in recent weeks, after entering the state through Houston years ago.
