The trial is the second involving a mesothelioma victim against Johnson & Johnson since its failed talcum powder bankruptcies last year.
The plaintiff, Kyung Lee, was diagnosed with mesothelioma at age 48 after decades of being exposed to Johnson & Johnson's baby powder.
Johnson & Johnson's attorney, Stute, said Lee had multiple other exposures to asbestos, primarily growing up five kilometers from a textile factory in Busan, South Korea.
