Jackson Walker and Kirkland & Ellis, alongside former bankruptcy court judge David R. Jones, won a dismissal in a case that alleged they conspired to hide Jones’ relationship with bankruptcy attorney Elizabeth Freeman in order to obtain favorable verdicts.

Alia Moses, chief district judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, begrudgingly dismissed the case on Friday, noting in her ruling, “The Court takes no pleasure in this result. The plaintiff’s allegations, if true, cast doubt on the integrity of numerous high-profile bankruptcy cases.”
