A veteran state attorney dedicated to criminal law is the Republican Party choice in a Travis County race against a general practice attorney seeking the Place 2 spot on the Third Court of Appeals.
John Messinger, the GOP candidate has practiced law for 18 years, most recently as an appellate attorney in the Office of the State Prosecuting Attorney. He is running against Austin attorney Maggie Ellis.
