Allison Jackson-Mathis, a criminal defense attorney on the Democratic ticket, faces Michele Oncken, a county assistant district attorney, in the race for Houston's 338th District Court seat.
Mathis ousted the incumbent judge, Ramona Franklin, convincingly in the March primary. Oncken was unopposed in the Republican primary.
