As Texas midsize firm Kane Russell Coleman Logan finishes up a move to second-generation leadership under its legacy planning, founding director Raymond Kane has returned as chair through 2025 to act as the "board conduit" for the firm's C-suite leaders, including a new chief financial officer, as the firm adjusts to a new accounting software system.

"I'll be out for good after next year and then we will have a 100% nonfounding board, and probably will be migrating to a practice group leader board," said Kane, who has served several stints as chair since the firm was founded in 1992.
