U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Marvin Isgur of the Southern District of Texas has agreed to withdraw an ethics complaint he filed against Jackson Walker for failing to disclose a romantic relationship between former partner Elizabeth Freeman and former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge David Jones while continuing to represent clients in that court.
Isgur’s decision comes after Senior U.S. District Judge Lee Rosenthal, who was hearing the ethics complaint, determined that she has no authority to impose a financial penalty on a law firm under the disciplinary rules of the district.
