    Rent-a-Judge: Speed, Convenience of Private Judging Slow to Catch on in Texas

    Proponents of using private judges in uncontested matters say the process is a way to fast-track a case if parties need to settle in 60 to 120 days and don't have time to wait for a court to proceed on their case. But Texas has been slow to take to the idea of private judges.
