On Jan. 14, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct released public disciplinary actions against three jurists — a chief justice on a state appeals court and two judges on state district courts.
But there was good news for one former judge. In a memorandum order signed Jan. 12, a special court of review dismissed all charges and the related complaint against Luis Aguilar, former judge of El Paso’s 120th District Court who now is an El Paso solo. In February 2008, the judicial conduct commission had publicly reprimanded Aguilar by default — a move voided by the Jan. 12 decision.
