It’s been a big week in Texas for firm news of all kinds, ranging from firm combinations, to lateral hires, to delayed associate raises, to reports of résumés flooding into a firm.
The newsworthy developments include Haynes and Boone’s move into the California market by combining with 21-lawyer intellectual property firm MacPherson, Kwok, Chen & Heid, lateral hiring by Dallas firm Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell and Greenberg Traurig’s Austin office, and word that there’s no decision yet at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld on giving associates their annual class raises.
