Community involvement is not only allowed but encouraged at The Woodlands Development Co., which provides a fitting corporate culture for General Counsel Karen West’s nature as she completes 25 years in her third distinct career.
The TWDC is developing The Woodlands, a master-planned community in Montgomery County known for trees, parks, golf courses, biotechnology companies and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, but West says her company also is trying to build a sense of community. Employees of TWDC are assisting with that on and off the job.
