McKool Smith opened an office in Houston Oct. 1 with a new bankruptcy practice group headed by nationally known bankruptcy lawyer Hugh M. Ray.
Ray joined Dallas-based McKool Smith from Andrews Kurth, along with two other Andrews Kurth bankruptcy partners — Peter Goodman of New York City who joins McKool Smith’s New York officeand Paul Moak of Houston — and his son. Hugh M. Ray III moves to McKool Smith’s Houston office from Houston’s Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber, where he had been a shareholder.
