This time of year, 100,000 white lights adorn the Harrison County Courthouse in Marshall, making it Texas’ most festive historic building. But for the first time in decades, the inside of the courthouse finally measures up to its spectacular seasonal outdoor light display.
The restoration of the 1901 courthouse has been a long time coming. Harrison County officials have made several attempts to restore the courthouse, dating back at least 20 years.
