Entities doing business as Everest College, which has campuses in Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth, filed a federal complaint on Jan. 8 alleging that Dallas lawyer Julie E. Johnson has defamed the college and that she seeks clients by falsely promising them she can obtain tuition refunds and other monetary damages for them.

In Rhodes Colleges Inc., et al. v. Julie E. Johnson, et al., plaintiffs Rhodes Colleges Inc. and Rhodes Business Group Inc., which do business as Everest College, name Johnson, Dallas solo Kay Van Wey and three Dallas firms — Van Wey & Johnson, The Law Office of Julie Johnson, and Van Wey Law.
