More than three years after former Enron Corp. CEO Jeffrey Skilling reported to federal prison to begin serving a quarter-century sentence, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in his appeal.

Oral arguments in Jeffrey K. Skilling v. United States are set for March 1. Skilling, represented by lawyers from O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., asks the court to reverse his conviction and remand the case for a new trial. The government, represented by U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan and her staff, asks the Supreme Court to affirm a 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision that upholds Skilling’s conviction.
