Bankruptcy work fueled many Texas firms in 2009, and it also helped a record number of them earn a spot on The American Lawyer’s Corporate Scorecard 2010, which ranks firms in several areas of corporate work in 2009.

Eleven Texas firms had a piece of work on the list of the 10 largest bankruptcies filed in 2009 or on the list of the 10 largest bankruptcy emergences during the year. Six Texas-based firms are among the biggest-deal players in five other areas of corporate work in 2009. A total of 14 Texas-based firms are mentioned either in the bankruptcy charts or in additional charts in the Corporate Scorecard 2010.
