In Re: Cullar

This original mandamus proceeding arises out of an election dispute. Relators request this court to: 1. declare a candidate and real party in interest "ineligible to seek election to the Office of Texas Senate, District 22, for the 2010 General Election"; and 2. direct respondents to take all necessary steps to remove the candidate as the nominee, and to take such actions as are necessary before Aug. 20 to have him removed from the 2010 general election ballot. The Dallas Court of Appeals held that relators have not shown they are entitled to the relief requested. Therefore, it denied relators' petition for writ of mandamus.
