The State Commission on Judicial Conduct has issued a public warning to Senior Judge Woody Densen of Houston, who pleaded guilty on April 8 to a Class A misdemeanor in connection with allegations that he “keyed” his neighbor’s car, according to the commission’s Oct. 14 order released Friday.
The commission’s order provides the following background on the case: Densen was eligible to sit as a visiting judge when he was indicted on June 18, 2009, after being accused of keying his neighbor’s car on May 23, 2009. The incident allegedly was caught on a surveillance tape viewed by the grand jury that indicted Densen for the felony offense of criminal mischief. Densen entered a guilty plea after the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. In connection with the plea agreement, Densen was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and more than $6,000 in restitution.
