On the final day of 2010, 14th District Judge Eric Moyé of Dallas signed a final judgment, ordering lawyer Ronald M. Bendalin to pay $231,691 in damages, plus interest, to Youngblood & Associates stemming from a partnership dispute.

The judgment came after Moyé found that in late 2008 Bendalin wrongfully withdrew from the Dallas firm then known as Youngblood & Bendalin. At the time of the withdrawal, Bendalin and Dallas lawyer Eldon Youngblood owned equal shares in Youngblood & Bendalin, which did mortgage work and was the majority owner in a residential mortgage loan-document joint venture with New Orleans-based McGlinchey Stafford.
