Houston-based Susman Godfrey recently amended its partnership agreement to create a leadership succession plan, Steve Susman says. And as part of that plan, Neal Manne, who serves on the firm’s executive committee, was elected by his partners to serve as a third managing partner, along with firm founders and co-managing partners Susman and Lee Godfrey.

Manne says he was elected a managing partner by secret ballot on Sept. 9, after spending the summer working out the details for the succession plan. Manne joined the firm in 1988, after graduating from the University of Texas School of Law.
