Texas Southern University, one of the nation’s historically black universities and home to the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, is fighting back in its Oct. 17 answer to a race discrimination and retaliation suit filed by law school Assistant Dean Patricia Garrison.
In its answer, TSU denies Garrison’s claims and alleges her complaint does not list any adverse employment actions or retaliation and fails to plead protected activity. The university also claims she did not exhaust her administrative remedies. [See the defendant's answer.]
