Rick Perry has named Ruben Reyes, judge of the 72nd Judicial District Court in Lubbock and Crosby counties and presiding judge of the Lubbock County Adult Drug Court, chairman of the Governor’s Criminal Advisory Council. Perry also has appointed the following as council members: Joel Bennett, founder of Joel B. Bennett PC and judge for the Travis County Drug Force, Austin; Robb Catalano, judge of Tarrant County Criminal District Court No. 3, Fort Worth; Tara George, Harris County assistant district attorney and a prosecutor for the Success Through Addiction Recovery Court S.T.A.R. program, Houston; and Dibrell “Dib” Waldrip, judge of Comal County’s 433rd District Court, New Braunfels.
