Driver awarded for alleged neck and back injuries

On Jan. 11, a jury awarded $5,980 to a man who claimed cervical and lumbar strains in a collision. Juan Castillo was driving in Robstown when he collided with Maria Flores. He said he was making a left turn at a T-intersection when Flores disregarded her stop sign and hit him. He underwent eight weeks of chiropractic treatment and missed a number of days of work for the treatment.
