Houston lawyer Rusty Hardin won a big courtroom victory for his client Roger Clemens on June 18. That’s when a federal court jury in Washington, D.C., found former Houston Astro Clemens not guilty of charges he lied to Congress in 2008 over his alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Hardin, of Rusty Hardin & Associates, was in D.C. with Clemens when the jury returned yesterday’s verdict; Hardin could not be reached for comment today. But on June 15 he was in Houston giving a talk at the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting. Last Friday, Hardin could not discuss the Clemens trial because the jury was still out and a gag order was in place, but he shared trial tips and strategies with about 120 lawyers at the Bar meeting.
