A landlord and the former partners of a dissolved firm are fighting a court battle in two suits over who's responsible for paying the rent on the office that housed the firm in its heyday.

Before 2012, Carolyn Beckett and Elizabeth Morgan were 50-50 partners in Schurig, Jetel, Beckett & Tackett (SJBT), which leased 10,799 square feet in an office building in downtown Austin.
