Edward Valdespino, partner-in-charge of Strasburger & Price’s San Antonio office, grew up in a family with an appellate system.

“I was born and raised in San Antonio, one of 11 kids, and in some respects that’s what helped me lean towards law,” said the commercial litigator. “Even within our own family we had a system of appeals. When the parents were not there, the oldest was in charge, and they were a surrogate for the parents and administered punishment. If they were not fair, and the parents [on returning home] overruled their decision, the one in charge would be punished.”
