This holiday season, Austin lawyer Keith Hampton is gaining an impressive track record: His work helped to free two clients from prison in November, and he saw a third inmate walk free on Dec. 5.

“I finally found something useful to do with my bar card. This is what it’s all about: I’m relieved when they walk out, and I’m very happy they are able to move on,” said Hampton, a criminal-defense solo.
