Three lawyers and a firm have denied all the allegations in their former personal injury client’s suit against them. They also allege the man misrepresented facts and used fraud to get them to take his PI case.
In the legal-malpractice petition, Ethan Lee claimed that lawyer-defendants Charles M. Miller, Meredith Semler and John Izzo and Round Rock firm Semler & Izzo represented him in an underlying PI claim against a husband and wife. But he nonsuited his claims against the wife, and the husband died. The lawyers allegedly didn’t serve a representative of the man’s estate, and Lee’s claims were dismissed. In the Jan. 16 petition in Lee v. Miller,he alleged the lawyers were negligent.
