Clearly, Eric Lyle Williams is facing much larger issues than the retention of his law license: He’s scheduled for a death penalty trial in October. Williams has been indicted in connection with the slayings of the Kaufman County district attorney, his wife and an assistant prosecutor. The October trial is for one of those killings.

Nevertheless, the Texas Board of Disciplinary Appeals released an order disbarring the former justice of the peace.
