Spring brings two of my favorite things: bluebonnets and commencement speeches. The first are always wonderful, the second of more spotty quality. But we all benefit from each (general counsel included) because each makes us pause, take a deep breath and consider life.
The best commencement speeches are distilled wisdom: No throat-clearing, just direct advice given from the heart. And it’s the heart from which flows all life-changing advice. Here are six commencement talks that speak to me and that I hope speak to the reader.
