The chart below shows how the graduates or students of Texas’ nine American Bar Association-accredited law schools performed on the February 2014 Texas bar exam. The results were released April 30 by the Texas Board of Law Examiners. The Texas BLE administers the exam twice a year, in February and in July. A relatively small number of graduates and students sit for the February exam and so the percentage of students who pass is not necessarily an indication of a trend regarding how well the school is preparing its students for the exam.

Graduates of Texas Tech University School of Law can claim top honors – 91.67 percent of the school’s 24 graduates or students who sat for the exam for the first time in February passed. Overall, 570 of 742, or 76.82 percent of Texas law school first-time-test-takers passed the exam.
