Lawyers might not like to pay a $2 each time they conduct an e-filing transaction, but for now, they’ll have to grin and bear it.

Counties that choose to charge the $2 fee can keep charging it until they recoup their costs to implement the Texas Supreme Court’s e-filing mandate. The fee expires in 2019 unless the Legislature extends it.
