The Texas Supreme Court has launched a research study into new litigation rules meant to speed low-dollar cases through the courts.

The high court hired the National Center for State Courts to evaluate the impact of 2013′s rules for expedited actions, which apply to cases seeking $100,000 or less, according to an August 2014 director’s report to the Texas Judicial Council.
