A former client sued Beirne, Maynard & Parsons of Houston, alleging that the firm was negligent when it represented him in a bankruptcy designed to help him “gain control” of a Montgomery County joint venture and “clear up its financial problems.”

Stephen Morrow, who lives in Montgomery County, and Cypresswood Land Partners I bring negligence, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duties causes of action against the firm, and allege that it violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act. They seek unspecified actual and exemplary damages, interest and attorney fees from the defendant, along with fee disgorgement.
