Correction: This version corrects an earlier version that failed to state that a woman leads the entire firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell and that the firm also has a woman running the Austin office.
So much has been written about difficulties faced by women in law: the glass ceiling, work/life balance, gender differences in rain-making, perceptions of female attorneys by judges and juries. The list goes on. While serious challenges undoubtedly remain, it still may be worthwhile to focus for a moment on some good things. Texas is a pretty amazing place for women in law, if you think about it. And we are helping one another succeed in ways that were unimaginable 20 years ago.
