Looper Ballew, the Houston firm Donald Looper formed after he left Looper Reed & McGraw at the end of 2013, opened an office in New Orleans on Sept. 25 with four lawyers from New Orleans firm Slattery, Marino & Roberts.

With the addition of Paul J. Goodwine, who was a shareholder in Slattery Marino, the firm will be known as Looper Goodwine & Ballew. Goodwine joined as a shareholder on Sept. 25, and Holly Occhipinti Thompson, Taylor Mouledoux and Addie Danos Arvidson joined as associates in New Orleans.
