Another lawyer has joined special prosecutor Michael McCrum to help prosecute the felony case against Gov. Rick Perry.
Austin criminal defense attorney David Gonzalez will serve as cocounsel with McCrum to assist with preparing responses to Perry’s filings that asked the court to throw out the case. Gonzalez will stay on the team and help with whatever is necessary to take the case to trial, said McCrum.
