A Dallas lawyer has asked the Texas Supreme Court to force certain entities in the attorney disciplinary system to more closely follow rules regarding dismissing grievances and sharing reasons with complainants.

Marc Stanley saw a dismissal of his grievance that alleged another lawyer committed “fraud” related to a real estate matter. He claims his grievance should have proceeded and that the State Bar of Texas Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel improperly dismissed it and created unlawful exceptions to explain the dismissal. Stanley alleged the Texas Board of Disciplinary Appeals improperly upheld the dismissal.
