Claire Carroll is looking forward to taking part in her first trial just eight months after joining Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr’s Dallas office as a first-year associate on Sept. 2. “It’s the first trial that I know that I’ll be actively involved in, in terms of presenting evidence,” Carroll said. She’ll be assisting a partner on the trademark and competition dispute.

Carroll was a summer associate with the firm in 2013 before completing her third year at Baylor University School of Law in Waco. In the April trial, she will be assisting a firm partner in a trademark and competition dispute, she said. Carroll said she has been working on drafting motions and pleadings and helping with discovery. “I feel I’ve gotten a pretty wide taste of the litigation department in terms of trial prep and drafting the documents we use,” she said. “I love the people I work for; they are great and patient teachers and are giving me a lot of great opportunities as a first-year,” she said. “I don’t know how many first-years will be able to say they will have litigation experience in a courtroom during their first year of experience.”
