A jury issued a favorable verdict for defendants Depuy Orthopedics, Inc., a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, after an almost two-month-long trial in the first bellwether case in the hip replacement device multidistrict litigation in Dallas federal court.

Michael Powell, a partner in the Dallas office of Locke Lord, represents DePuy and Johnson & Johnson. Powell served as lead for Locke Lord on this case. He did not immediately return a call seeking a comment.
